The Research Project

EpiSEM ACTION is the name for an European research project, which had the goal to develop a software framework for building ontology-based collaboration platforms. The project has started in December 2001 in the 5th framework supported by the IST programme. The project consortium is represented by both industry and research organisations.


The Demonstrator Project

Along with the research efforts another project has been established to deliver demonstrators for an EpiSEM ACTION collaboration platform. In this project, the potential users of the platform implement solutions based on EpiSEM ACTION to demonstrate its benefits. This consortium is comprised by a subset of the participants from the research project.


The Software

The software development of the EpiSEM ACTION platform has another web site with useful links and a collaboration space for developers.
